The audio interface dropped out and came back
REDKEYS reopens the interface you chose by itself when it comes back.
If the interface cable comes out or the interface turns off, the sound moves to the Windows output. When the interface comes back, REDKEYS reopens it by itself, with the sample rate, buffer and outputs you had left, and tells you:
- … · reconnected
The same applies when you open the app with the interface off: turn the interface on and it is reopened. No menu needed.
Other lines you may see
… is in use by … · it works if the driver takes several programs
Another program is using the ASIO driver. Close that program, or choose Open anyway if the driver accepts several programs (not all do). Keep the current device stays on the current one. When the app opens, the choices are Open … anyway and Keep … for now.
… was not opened: REDKEYS went down while opening it last time · pick it again in Master › Audio device
Last time, the app closed while opening that interface, so it did not open it by itself. Pick it again in Settings › Devices › Audio interface › Open › Audio device.
… · the driver crashed while opening · the current device stays
The interface’s driver failed to open; REDKEYS stays on the device it had, without going silent. Turn the interface off and on and pick it again.
