Back up and restore everything

One file keeps everything of yours on this device; Import file… brings it back without deleting anything.

The backup keeps everything of yours on this device in a single file: setlists, songs, presets of every kind, MIDI mappings, settings, your own sounds in My Sounds and your audio (backing tracks, stems, pad samples).

Make the backup

  1. Tap the song name at the top of the stage and choose Edit to open EDIT SETLIST.
  2. Choose Export file….
  3. Choose Everything on this device. The option already shows how many files and MB will go.
  4. If the open setlist has unsaved changes, REDKEYS asks Save changes to “…”?: Save, Don't save or Cancel.
  5. Choose where to keep it. The suggested name is REDKEYS backup with today’s date.
  6. When it ends, the file name shows with saved, the number of files and the size.

What is left out

  • The library (the Factory and the others): it downloads again when you activate. The backup keeps which sounds each song uses.
  • This computer’s audio interface and window: another device opens with its own.
  • Files in its folder that REDKEYS did not make: they are left out, and the message says how many (not made by REDKEYS left out).

Restore

  1. Open EDIT SETLIST and choose Import file… — or drop the backup file on the REDKEYS window.
  2. Pick the backup file. What is not here comes in; what is here already and the same stays as it is.
  3. If some files here differ from the backup, REDKEYS asks Restore “…”? with how many: Use the backup's replaces them with the backup’s, Keep mine keeps yours and brings only what is missing, Cancel brings nothing.
  4. When it ends, restored shows with the number of files, and REDKEYS reads its setlists, presets, mappings and settings again.
