Keep what you shaped

Know how long a sound tweak lasts and how to keep it in a part, a preset or the setlist.

Tweaked a sound? The change works at once and stays while the setlist is open, even when you move to another part or song and come back.

What brings back the factory sound

Picking another sound on the channel (or picking the same one again in the browser) brings in the sound with its pre-loaded values. The previous sound’s tweaks do not come along.

Where to keep it

WhereHowComes back when
In the partStore, at the end of the parts bar, with the Sound edits group tickedYou enter the part
In a sound presetPresets, on the sound page, then Save as…You load the preset
In a channel presetChannel presets ›, in the channel drawerYou load the preset
In the setlistSaveYou open the setlist again

Store

Store lights up when something changed in the part and shows what changed, group by group. Tick Sound edits to keep the sounds’ settings: the Sound tab, envelope, velocity, LFOs and modulation. See Store what you changed in a part.

Sound presets

  1. On the sound page, tap Presets.
  2. Tap Save as…, type a name and tap Save.
  3. The preset goes into the Mine column; the factory ones are under REDKEYS. Tap a preset to load it.

The list opens with the preset that is playing marked and in view. To rename or delete one of yours, tap ⋯ next to it.

Save the setlist

Save writes the sounds’ settings with the song. If you switch setlists or close the app with unsaved changes, the app asks: Save writes them, Don't save puts everything back as it was in the file, and Cancel leaves you where you are.

Going back

Reset, on the sound page, takes the sound back to its pre-loaded values (tap twice). Ctrl/Alt + click on a control takes only that control back to the app’s default.
