Hold and the sustain pedal
Keep the arpeggio playing after you let go, with the button or the pedal, and change the held chord.
With Hold, the arpeggio carries on after you let go of the keys. You can use the button or the sustain pedal.
The Hold button
- Tap Hold. It lights up.
- Hold a chord and let go. The arpeggio carries on.
- Tap Hold again to turn it off. The notes you aren't holding drop out.
The pedal as Hold
- With the Arpeggiator on, the sustain pedal acts as Hold while it is down. The dot on the Hold button lights up.
- The pedal never reaches the instrument while the Arpeggiator is on.
- When you lift the pedal, with the Hold button off, the notes you aren't holding drop out.
- With the Arpeggiator off, the pedal is the instrument's sustain again.
Reset, Add and Transpose
The box next to Hold chooses what a new key does to the held chord. It applies to the button and to the pedal.
| Mode | What it does |
|---|---|
| Reset | Letting go of everything and playing another chord replaces the chord |
| Add | Each key adds to the chord. Playing a note that is already in it again removes it |
| Transpose | A single key on its own transposes the held chord: its lowest note moves to that key. Two or more keys together start a new chord |
What Held shows
| In Held | Means |
