Restart, Start and tempo
Choose when the pattern starts over and where the arpeggio comes in, always at the song's BPM.
The Arpeggiator always plays at the song's BPM. Restart decides when the pattern goes back to the start. Start decides where the arpeggio comes in while the song is playing.
Restart
| Restart | The pattern starts over |
|---|---|
| New chord | On every new chord |
| End of grid | At the end of the grid: the same shape every time round |
| Every key | On every key |
| Every bar | On every bar, with the song playing |
| Never | It doesn't: the pattern runs on |
When the number of notes doesn't match the grid's length (say, 3 notes on a 16-step grid), the notes land on different steps every time round. End of grid makes the order start over together with the grid.
Start
| Start | The arpeggio comes in |
|---|---|
| Step | On the next step |
| Beat | On the next beat |
| Bar | On the next bar |
Playing and stopped
- With the song playing, the notes fall on the song's grid, and Start chooses where the arpeggio comes in.
- A key played just after the line comes in right away, without waiting for the next one.
- With the song stopped, the arpeggio starts on the first key, at the song's BPM.
- Pressing Play while the arpeggio runs puts the next step on the song's grid. Changing the BPM or the Rate does the same.
- A chord's keys arrive together: the Arpeggiator waits a moment to hear them all before the first note.
