Key and tempo

Change the key you play in and the song tempo right on the stage.

KEY: play in another key

KEY shows the key you are playing in. The − and + buttons move it down or up a semitone, up to 6 semitones each way. When the key changes, the box shows Play in with the semitones and the song’s original key.

  1. Tap the centre of KEY to open the list of the 12 keys.
  2. Pick a key, or Song key to go back to the song’s key.

The key you choose stays when you change parts and songs, until you change it again. It transposes the channels’ sounds and, with Follow song key on, the Drone. A part can keep its own key with Store (the Key group).

BPM: the tempo

  • − and + change it by 1 BPM.
  • Tapping the number opens TEMPO, with −5, −1, +1 and +5, a field to type in (Tap to type a value) and Song tempo to go back to the song’s tempo.
  • The tempo goes from 30 to 300 BPM.
  • A changed tempo stays across part changes and goes back to the song’s tempo when you pick the song again in the setlist, or with Song tempo. It is not kept by Store or in the file.

TAP

Tap TAP in time. From the second tap, the tempo follows the average of the last 5 taps (4 intervals). Stop for 2 seconds and the count starts over.

Play and Stop

Play starts the song (the space bar does the same). While it plays, the button pulses on every beat, stronger on 1, and shows the count-in numbers when the count-in is on. The part loop, Panic and the end of the song are in Transport; the click and the count-in, in Metronome and count-in.
