Parts and form
Create the song’s parts and build the form: the order you play them in.
Every song has its parts (Intro, Verse, Chorus…) and a form: the sequence in which they happen. A part that repeats, like the chorus, is the same part twice in the form: set up once, it comes back the same.
Create the parts
- Open the song in EDIT SETLIST and tap the Parts & form tab.
- Tap the shortcuts: + Intro, + Verse, + Pre-Chorus, + Chorus, + Bridge, + Solo, + Interlude, + Outro. Each shortcut disappears once used.
- For a free name, tap + Custom…: “New part” is created.
- With the part selected, change its name in Name.
Each part shows how many times it is in the form (×2 in form) or not in form.
Build the form
- Select a part and tap Add to form. It goes to the end of the form.
- Repeat for each part, in the order the band plays. The same part can go in several times.
- To move a step, select it and use ← Earlier or Later →.
- To remove a step, tap its ×.
The stage’s parts bar shows the form, and next part and your pedal walk through it.
Duplicate and delete
- Duplicate makes a copy of the part with everything it keeps (the name gets “2”).
- Delete becomes Tap to delete: tap again. A song needs at least one part.
A part’s key and time signature
A part can have its own key (Key · this part) and its own time signature (Time signature · this part), such as a modulation in the last chorus.
Songs with a VS or multitrack
With audio, the parts and the form come from the timeline markers, on the Audio tab: the part shortcuts do not show. See Playback.
