Arpeggiator questions
Short answers to common questions, and what is not part of the Arpeggiator.
Do I need to press Play to arpeggiate?
No. With the song stopped, the arpeggio starts on the first key, at the song's BPM. With it playing, the notes fall on the bar's grid.
Why doesn't the pedal sustain the sound with the Arpeggiator on?
Because, with the Arpeggiator on, the pedal acts as Hold and never reaches the instrument. Switch the Arpeggiator off and the pedal is the sustain again.
What is the difference between Arp and Step Seq?
In Arp, the order picks the note and the grid sets the rhythm. In Step Seq, each step says which note of the chord plays.
Does Mute silence the arpeggio?
It silences what comes from the keyboard. Pad sequences aimed at the channel keep getting arpeggiated.
Can I have a different arpeggio in each part?
Yes. Set up the Arpeggiator in the part and tap Store.
What is not part of the Arpeggiator?
Remote control zones, its own split, Repeats, probability and fixed notes. To play fixed notes, use a pad's sequence, in the DrumPads piano roll.
