When the interface drops and comes back
Know what REDKEYS does when the interface is switched off or unplugged, and how it comes back by itself.
REDKEYS remembers the interface you chose. If it was not on when you opened the app, or the cable came out mid-show, the app carries on with the system device and waits.
Coming back by itself
- When the remembered interface reappears in the Windows list, the app reopens it by itself, in full: the rate, buffer and outputs you left.
- The notice shows its name and reconnected.
- No menu to visit, no restart.
If a sound's output disappears
If the interface comes back with fewer outputs (or you open another one), each sound with a direct output follows its own rule: the click and the guide go silent; the others play through the Master. See Outputs and buses.
If the app went down while opening a device
If REDKEYS (or Windows) went down while opening a device, next time it does not open that device by itself: it starts on the system device and tells you. To use the device again, pick it under AUDIO DEVICE.
